I resigned myself upstairs to my lonely writer's garret,
To try and jot down some meaningful lines that contain merit,
As some of you know I often add more then my 2 cents worth
But, I do try and keep my banter light and add a touch of mirth,
Sometimes I go on tangents and my cheekiness is revealed....
haven't figured out how to stop myself let alone how to simply yield,
I'm glad if you've enjoyed my rhymes and hope never to offend,
Cause if is in the spirit of friendship that my words are always penned,
One of the things I have to say, it's been fun to come here to unwind,
I think we all keep one another bolstered & aligned,
So 2016 awaits our input to make it all that it can be,
Keep your mind and spirit focused and that will be the key.
