I also got last minute notice Friday after work that I am indeed being sent to a work conference that I loved last year and really was hoping to be ent to again. This year it is in Phoenix and I booked all my travel arrangements yesterday afternoon to make it official! I leave next Saturday and have 3 free days with a rental car to go to Sedona and just mosey around and explore! So excited!
Oh yeah and the hotel is 1 mile froma Target!! I can't decide what I am most excited about....LOL probably Target :target:

vw - what a great trip; I just love Sedona. Spent a couple of weeks in Scottsdale, (a suburb of Phoenix) one in Sedona, and one in Lake Havasu City. Love Arizona. I'm not a shopper, but spent a small fortune there. Lucky, lucky you !!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I am so looking forward to it! I was in Sedona once in gr.8 and remember the beauty but probably didn't appreciated it as much as I will now (we were on our way to Disneyland) But something in the back of my head always told me it was a special place. I am going solo and just going to suck up my surroundings, decompress and take a ton of pictures. I am exxcited to check out Tlaquepaque as I dream about Mexico every moment of the day and hope to get back there soon. It will be my little teaser. Then back to reality and a very hectic conference schedule.....but we are staying in a plushy huge resort (JW Marriot on E.Marriot Dr) which is always a nice perk.Quote:

Its been a puttering around day. Picking at this and that. Suitcase is out and starting to get filled. Posted a few things for sale for some extra spending money. It's gonna be a blur of a week with extra hours at work and last minute things to wrap up with my upcoming trip. Hopefully I don't burn out by then. But I am really glad I had a close to home weekend to recharge and just get grounded. It really does feel good.
