it seems like a good time to slide in this last post.
It seems that there are some people hoping for a snowy Halloween,
What about the kiddies who just don't dig that scene?
Tricking, treating & scary thoughts & maybe a goblin or two,
Witches, caldrons & potions – some things that are screaming boo!
Pumpkins glowing on the porch & cob webs in your trees,
Howling echoes from everywhere haunting up the breeze,
As I kid I do remember going out as the snowflakes flew,
When it was so cold & breezy, that even the pumpkins were turning blue,
One year I was Little Bo Peep & I recall being Little Red Riding Hood,
Even though they were hand-me-down costumes; the end result was all good!
Notice how tiny the chocolate bars have become & such a puny box of smarties!
& do people still go all out when it comes to those Halloween parties?
Anyone have any fun stories to share of Halloween tricks or Halloween treats?
Did you ever go out as a ghost & make your costume out of sheets?
