    It is automatic. Should get the renewal card 3-4 weeks before expiry in the mail.

    Sometimes they seem to leave it right to the end, but I've never had to call them.

    Yup , it comes automatically . There wiil be a toll free number ( sticker ) on it and you call in and activate the new card ( usually an automated call, so you don't speak to anyone )

    Make sure you make the call from your home number when you activate the new card or the number they have on file.

    Then you cut up and destroy the old card ( very imp ) . Usually I like to use my new card atleast once before cutting up and destroying my old card.
