Is it worth buying an extra or extended warranty for an iPad mini?

Some thoughts...

• look at your phone... are there many scratches? how often have you dropped it? What's the likelihood of you dropping your tablet?
• does the extended warranty cover drops or theft? How often have you dropped or have your stuff stolen?
• do you live in a humid part of the country? Is a humidty change from an air conditioned room to going outdoors cause condensation that can trip the water sensors.... rendering the warranty worthless?
• how often have you had to use an extended warranty in the past?
• personally I skip extended warranty... my premium credit card offers a warranty if I need to make a claim.

With the development of technology, the prices of electronics become lower and lower. So it is not necessary to buy extra extended warranty. And you can pay a little more to get a totally new one on some bargain websites.

In my opinion, it's unnecessary to get extra a year warranty, because you may want to buy new and better one after one year.

For a computer or even an iphone 100% worth it. For a ipad mini I think it might be unnecessary especially since you already have a 1 year warranty
