Loblaws shop:
Step 1. Deposit $30.00 Activia cheque (from the lawsuit) in PC Financial in store bank machine.
http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/319758-...yogurt-canada/
Step 2. Buy PC Plus deals:
Country Harvest Bread, $3 and 1000 PC Plus points.
But wait, there's more.
Country Harvest Bread is pink stickered (50% off): $1.50 spent and 1000 points earned.
Deli platter of veggies $14.99
But wait, there's more.
Deli platter of carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cukes and ranch dressing is pink stickered (50% off). Earned 2000 points for deli platter and bagged salad (spend $10, earn 2000 points, personal PC Plus offer)
Campbell's beef broth, $1.67 and 200 PC Plus points.
But wait, there's more.
Campbell's products personal PC Plus points offer= ADDITIONAL 600 points for each purchase
Step 3. Pick up rest of groceries and looks for favourite cashier(s) to check out.
Step 4. Cashier scans PC Plus card, processes groceries, and is in awe of the $14 in points earned
Step 5. Earn PC Points for using 3 reusable bags (50 points per bag, I think)
Step 6. Use $0.26 in Auto Cash (from Your Independent Grocer gas bar)
Step 7. Donate some groceries to in store Sally Ann food bank.
Step 8. Brag on SC website.
Total, with other groceries = $40.xx
PC Plus points earned = $14.00
Total OOP after Activia lawsuit cheque and Autocash = $9.xx
$14.00 in PC Plus Points - $9.00 OOP = $5 ahead in savings! This thread is currently associated with: Independent, LoblawsLast edited by Shwa Girl; Sun, Jan 5th, 2014 at 03:16 PM.

Cute post! (and great brag )
I didnt know about the PC pts for bringing in your own bags...is this new? I just checked a few of my receipts and no 'bag pts' show up, even though I always bring my own. Do you need to tell the cashier when you give your PC plus card? How many points do you receive for reusable bags?

Does not have to be a PC black reusable bag. Can be any that you have brought with you. Bags or bins.
Program works at No Frills, Zehrs, Fortinos, Loblaws, YIG, etc. If the cashier doesn't know the code, tell them to call customer service desk (One cashier tried that excuse on me once. She did not try it the next time.)Last edited by Shwa Girl; Sun, Jan 5th, 2014 at 12:56 PM.

Love the "but wait there's more" lines and the drummer smiley!
As for the money for reusing bags program-it's not really at work here in Fortino's land. Initially, the cashiers did apply a credit for bags you brought in but then faded (I did ask about it), around the same time that cashiers started to hesitate about bagging if they saw or anticipated customers would bag their own purchases. Not sure how the bag credit would work at self-checkout-may ask at a store soon.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

About Step#4,
Step 4. Cashier scans PC Plus card, processes groceries, and is in awe of the $14 in points earned
I have no patience for ornery cashiers with bad attitudes who don't know about codes and PC Plus and "the steps". I stood in line with one of my favourite cashiers. The not-so-nice cashier, with nobody in her line, yelled for me to come over and I yelled back at her, with a smile, that I was fine where I wasLast edited by Shwa Girl; Sun, Jan 5th, 2014 at 01:50 PM.

Yes. You are right. The bag PC points (regular PC points) started before PC Plus deals. The bag points work when you have a PC debit or a PC credit card. You get more PC points when you use a credit card.
That's why I did Step#1, depositing the cheque first. So the PC Master Card will be paid in a couple of days when the cheque clears
