still this long after, its clear there really is no store with the same atmosphere as target... like honestly they were the best of all worlds... obviously were stuck with what we have, but other than target what one store do you guys wish would come to Canada?
I saw they 70 off toy posts for US targets. Was going to go wit sil and just before we were to leave get text other sil broke her elbow late night before and is in hospital awaiting surgery, possibly elbow replacement as she broke it in 9 places. So we spent day at hospital with her and 6 hour surgery scheduled today so as her dh and dd both working at tme of surgery we are taking turns at hospital. We will have to try for january toy clearance.
Thanks! I'll be checking that out! I'm already envisioning the feeling of "Aaaaaaaaaaaaah, so good to be back at Target" as I enter the store. I saw some of the Target toy deals shoppers on an American forum have posted and it brings back so many memories of my stash from last year at this time. By the end of last summer, I was finished with kids' Christmas and birthday toys.
Yes, it was EVERYTHING! *sigh* not one negative thing.
I just saw the overnight bag that I got during liquidation for $24 has gone down to $11!! I need another one!!
Need a Target fix!
It's BTS so I'm pulling out all the 70% off items I stashed last year to donate... It would be wrong to hoard them instead, right?! 😭😭😭
This. Gah. It's been 4 months. 4 months! And I miss Target more and more everyday. Everytime I go into Walmart I die a little inside. Everytime I pay MORE for something that I know would have been cheaper at Target I die a little more... I definitely have more money now though and way more free time. I thought by now I would be over it but I am not. Everytime I use something I got super cheap at Target I get mad because I know it will never happen again... *sigh* My husband tells me everyday how happy he is Target closed, I can't admit to him how much I miss it... And I miss this thread and all the awesome deals. Going to the states isn't an option for me. :(
Maybe every SCer's summer quest is to find a local or nearby urban area liquidation or warehouse store that sells Target merchandise from the closedowns. Coast-to-coast listings.
Bed and Bath Warehouse, Queenston Road & Nash Rd, Hamilton, ON (north side of intersection, across from the closed Target store).
I found a little kids consignment store that was selling stuff they bought at Target minutes before it closed for full price. But that's it. :(
I miss target so much as well. I keep saying to dh. We could have gotten that cheaper at target....where is target when I need them...miss target.. Etc. he is sympathetic to my plight. Lol
Sorry for the late post. Went to a couple WA state Targets last weekend. All the good 70% toys were long gone. I was hoping for some Hape as my friend has just had a baby. :( I did snag a newborn romper for $1.90. All clearanced clothing was an additional 20% off with cartwheel. Also got a hot wheels playmat for 70% off $5.xx.
Disappointed from ourTarget run, we stopped at Fred Meyer for groceries. There we found they had all clearance merchandise at 50% clearance price. Picked up 24 hotwheels track pieces for under $80 including tax. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08...a46d781254.jpg The regular price on some pieces was $19.99. The cheapest piece we got was $0.99. Also not show were a couple of vtech smart cars for $3.xx. Made me feel a little better about the Target run. :)

It was great to be able to shop at Target again and find the deals! :)
I've only scanned over the last few juicy posts I've missed and all i can say is I am hurting inside and green with envy! Those are good old Target bargains... So disappointed I couldn't make it across for the 70% toy clearance. What a rush!
But to turn this reply around...I actually came here to say bawahshaha:
This totally made me laugh
