i overheard today a staff member saying they are expecting two more shipments (wednesday and friday) with stock and then that's it

OMG I hope not I work at the distrbution center on the Weekend shift, you should see how full ours is

I was there tonight and it seems like they emptied the back stock room. I saw lots of things I have not seen before. Some of the departments were overstocked. I am guessing they were told to put out everything.

I noticed the same at my Target. There was a lot of 'stuff', placed the sections where holidays stuff go, that I have NEVER seen before.

I asked a cashier on Monday if whatever I was buying was a final sale and he said yes it is... then i mentioned something that I had to return that was bought earlier and he said I have only till January 31 to do any returns. wondering if he thought I am not a regular customer at first.

A verbal return policy is not legal. They must post it in writing, and I believe it must be written on the receipt as well.

I got 30cm wooden rulers for .14 cents

Scanned a few things just to see and there was a Chi pink hair dryer 50% off(still too much for me)

a Makeup mirror also 50% off, I may stalk that one

Neither of these had red stickers so I think we will have to start scanning random items. There maybe more stuff discounted than we think.

If anyone sees a curl secret at 70% off let me know....I have been wanting one for awhile now

I work for a steamship line and I can tell you that the containers coming into Canada from China that were meant for Canada are being rerouted to the USA.

I'm curious as to how this works? Must be a logistical nightmare? Customs paperwork; diifferent packaging requirements (metric vs imperial measurements); language (ours are English/French); goods specific to our market.

I know this is an unusual situation but really just wondering how companies deal with and figure out how to deal with shipments already in transit.

Looks like they closed the self checkouts at the Brossard and Atwater Target. Access was blocked. I'm not sure if its temporary or Canada-wide.

Regarding the self checkouts being closed: not that I know of, I was just at Pointe-Claire's location and the self checkout was still working!

I'm sorry I dont know but the one near where I live had the self checkouts open today and the one near my work too

I suppose that changes when liquidators take over, so if you have any returns I'd do them asap. the lady who was 'head cashier'/floor manager encouraged me to use all my gift cards that day as she wasn't sure they'd be usable once liquidators take over whenever that happens.
