The No Frills here won't pm SDM that is just right across the street.

No Frills used to price match every store including SDM, but they changed their policy recently to price match only the local close by grocery stores here (GTA).

Better check with your local store to see what is their policy.

    Thank you!
@cinpow that's the same deal with my Freshco. The SDM is literally across the street but they won't PM. They wouldn't PM Target around the corner either

I tried PM an IDA flyer but my No Frills said no. Said it has to be grocery stores.

From the bottom of the last page of every No Frills flyer regarding PM:
*Won't Be Beat® promise means if a major supermarket competitor within this store's geographical trade area offers a lower price on any item that we carry in our store simply show us an advertisement or receipt and we will sell you that item at the same price. We reserve the right to limit price match quantities to a limit of 4 per item. We will match the competitor's price only during the effective date of the competitor's advertisement or within 7 days of the receipt date. We match identical items defined as same brand, item type (in the case of produce, meat and bakery), size and attributes or comparable items in the case of private label. 'Our major supermarket competitors', 'geographical trade areas', and "comparable items" are determined solely by us and are based on a number of factors which can change from time to time. Excludes 'spend x get x'; 'Free'; and discounts obtained through loyalty programs. Look for the Won't Be Beat® slogan throughout our store and on some of your favourite items so that you don't forget to simply show us if you find a lower price and we will match.
From the bottom of the last page of every FreshCo flyer:
*Our guarantee that we're cheaper means that if a major supermarket competitor within this store's geographic trade area offers a lower price on any item that we carry in our store, simply show us their price in their flyer/ad (current) or on their receipt (within 7 days of purchase) and we will sell you that item for 1¢ less. Applies to identical items (same brand, item type (in the case of produce, meat and bakery), size and attributes) or comparable items in the case of private label. Does not apply to prescriptions or gift cards. Excludes 'spend x get x'; clearance sales, and 'free' promotions and discounts obtained through loyalty or other preferred customer programs. Does not apply to competition misprints or withdrawn or corrected advertisements. We reserve the right to verify competitor prices and to limit quantities to 2 identical products/flavours. "Our major supermarket competitors", "geographic trade areas" and "comparable items" are determined solely by us and are based on a number of factors that can change from time to time. We reserve the right to make changes to this program without prior notice. All price savings shown in this flyer are measured against FreshCo.'s lowest regular retail prices. Savings may vary depending on store location. We reserve the right to correct any unintentional errors that may occur in the copy or illustrations. We reserve the right to limit quantities to reasonable family requirements. No rainchecks available.
Both state that they only PM their "major supermarket competitors".

I was just at my local store (Oshawa on Ritson and Adelaide) yesterday. It sounds to me like different stores have different PM competitors. While I was there, the cashier let me snap a picture on my phone of their Won't Be Beat Competitor's List. I posted the pic in the Oshawa Deals section of the forum. The competitors for that store are:

    • Foodland
    • Food Basics
    • Superstore
    • Canadian Tire
    • Shopper's Drug Mart
    • Metro
    • Freshco
    • Loblaws
    • Sobeys
    • Giant Tiger
    • Walmart
    • Rexall, and
    • Food 4 Less
