It's a super early Christmas present for my dad from my mom and I - so the best part was we split the cost and points in half, making it more reasonable for each of us.

For those wondering, it comes with Windows 8 (right now my dad is not liking it, so I may put XP on it)

Nice brag. I am not an HP fan either and I am trying to build optimum points so I could also buy this laptop. Long way to ago and I feel like it is taking forever to add points while I am trying to not spend unnecessarily either.

I know what you mean. The only reason my mom and I are so fast at building points is because we combine our purchases to meet the minimums. That being said, I think we've only participated in one promo this year, because there just hasn't been anything we need to buy at Shoppers.

My 5-year-old Dell laptop stopped being able to load Windows yesterday, so I bought one of these laptops, too. I just use it for internet in the kitchen, so I don't need much on it. I had a 20x the points coupon with my e-mailed coupons this week, and was surprised to get a gas card along with it. Was glad not to have to pay the full price of a laptop for my replacement!
