i'm also a fan of the safeway donut.. and i think they are baked fresh in the store.. or atleast the apple fritters are because none of them look alike, sometimes they are MASSIVE and sometimes they are on the small side, occasionally the donuts look a bit wonky (like a kid tried to make donuts for the first time lol)
When life hands you Edward Cullen...throw him back and demand Eric Northman....

I guess walnuts are expensive so maybe they are getting rid of that ..the crowd favourite
Are all the donuts same price in Tim's ? ..or do they charge extra for certain donuts ? ..the way they charge extra for certain so called speciality bagels
How much is a single donut thesedays anyways at Tim's ? I think I paid 85 cents or something like that the last time, but this is long back..so probably its a dollar now
I have 3 bucks left on my Tim's GC .. so I think I will get 3 Walnut crunch donuts before they get discontinued ..he he he

OY! So sad about the walnut crunch - and they aren't telling yet all the items which will be gone.
Husband's fave is the dutchie, and he was told a few weeks ago at Tim's that they aren't making it any more. The article linked above just mentions the timbit one.
So Robin's will get my business - but I still have lots of $ on Tim's cards to use up - a few crullers and boxes of Timbits, I guess.
Ah, I'm remembering how wonderful they used to be..... sigh!Last edited by Natalka; Fri, Feb 21st, 2014 at 01:13 PM.

Good riddance Dutchie! My fondest memory of a Dutchie timbit was someone was teasing me about something at work (I forget once now). He was bald. The Dutchie timbit bounced nicely off his head!
As for the Walnut Crunch, I used to like these...although I haven't had one for a couple years, I seem to recall the last time I had one it wasn't as tasty as my memory told me it should be.

Yeah, I've noticed it in pretty much everything too. Quaker Dipps used to be WAY bigger. Now they are tiny!!!! I bought a box a little while ago and thought maybe I had a faulty box but nope lol. They are just itty bitty now. >.<
