Hello everyone,
I hope this finds you well. I'm finding it so damn hard to get used to life without Sue. She was my stabilizer. When you are packing someone's entire life up into boxes, it is the most empty feeling. She had a lot of stuff I can tell you.
I am looking for some of my Loocie courage to get me through & back on track.
Next week, I am back at the hospital & I know that I need to focus on my own path of wellness & health.
xx
hi valerie, so sad to hear about sue - can't imagine how you are
able to go on without her.
thinking with a strength you get from sue,
so stay strong - here and there
i know people who 'work' at the princess and of course they do not
consider it work
Take care Loocie, and have a great Friday! :-)
I am ready for the weekend & enjoying some relaxation time. I will catch up on cooking & get myself prepared for my hospital week. Tuesday being my all day session.
I have been listening to some of my favourite CD's over the last week & really enjoying them. Isn't it so cool to remember all the words? It makes me feel young again (and 100% healthy!) & it really gives me a nice break.
I could never get tired of James Taylor, Dire Straits, ELO, Carlos Santana, Johnny Cash, The Police, The Kinks.......
great tunes that just lift me up.
:) :) :) :)
Hey, Loocie! Love all those tunes - looking forward to hearing the newly released Johnny Cash tunes, too. Heard his son in an interview talking about how he found the tapes, and how they remastered them, etc.

Everybody knows that sometimes it is good to do "things" in a group,
It keeps you connected & grounded & also in the loop,
I know that it isn't always easy to talk about things festering - or our troubles,
Wouldn't it be nice if our issues would just disappear; just like downy soft bubbles?
Make sure that you all join me when we have a session of Yakety-Yak-ing,
& if you want to find me now, text me, & I'll hear it ping.

It's been a good day for me. Things moving forward for me in regards to my new leg. You have no idea how good it feels to have some security when walking & doing all the stuff that we do daily. This is looking like it is going to work out finally. I've been waiting a long time & I'm in the home stretch!!!I have the leg that will be finalized in a few weeks & hopefully serve me well in the months & years to come. I am also very fortunate to have a great Prosthetist who has expertise & knowledge when it comes to getting me rockin' & rollin'.
I am working very hard to gain even more mobility back as I continue with my other health & life challenges. One day at a time - what a great saying that is.
Loocie I've been away but one of the first places I came was this thread to see how you were doing. Your story is incredibly inspiring. I'm sorry to hear of your loss but I'm certain that you will muster that loocie courage you need. Memories are a wonderful thing that can carry us through many journeys in life.

Love The Police :-). Bonus! Bono!!! And Sting *sigh* saw him live in Japan several years ago. I was near the front and I was in heaven.
I sure enjoyed that video Dee09!
I had had a great day. My #2 son's birthday today. Ahhh to be 26 again. He is really a great guy. He has always been a source of strength & joy to me. He has endured a bit too much due to my health issues. Yet he still rises & shines. He has a terrific sense of humour & he uses it wisely. Lucky me.
I am thankful to the people on here who share snippets of their lives,
Some of you are husbands & some of you darling wives,
It is a enriching experience to share your gratitude with others,
Helps us to keep focused & hold on to our druthers,
There are many of us have issues that are taxing on our health,
& when life deals times like that, you learn the definition value or wealth,
It's people who really matter who share your life with you,
Even kindness of strangers can help to see you through,
If you can think a single thought, of why you should give thanks,
You'll know gratitude is a good place to be & how nice you've joined the ranks.
