You really are blessed, dear Lady, to have so many devoted friends. My HS friends are scattered all over the country...they married, moved away...there are a couple here, but our lives have taken us in different directions with different interests....your gal-pals really are blessings!! You must be a pretty nice Lady to encourage such devotion..:)
Ummmm...I notice there's still some wine and sushi....I can force myself to relieve you of them if you wish...

Hi Loocie! What a brave lady you are! I read your poems to my dh and he knows he has a compatriot in this journey.
Just losing an hour in a day can throw your timed meds for a wonk !
What a great time for you with your friends!
"Girlie " time is so important! Who else wants to talk purses and lipstick and hair care and how important it will be to elect the best president in the United States!
Hugs to you - and many thanks!

I was at Princess Margaret Hospital yesterday. I took a couple of pictures. MY DH & I always bring our lunch as I am there for an entire day. We eat on the 18th floor & have access to a toaster, kettle & microwave. We bring soup & warm it up along with a sandwich. Druxy's is ridiculously expensive & we seldom eat lunch there. So we have a beautiful view of the city in one of the board rooms & have a nice lunch together. It was a rough day for me yesterday.

Hello Loocie!
Thanks for all your thoughtful poems!
Hoping that Spring is finding you.
The moon is almost full.
A Canadian Goose couple has returned to our pond. They are so cute! While she sits on a proposed "nest" and "melts" into the background with the camouflage, he "sculks" nearby, kind of "hiding" with his head down in the water.
Two other mallard couples have also come back.
Spring is here! Yay!

Feeling OK today. It takes me about 3 days to return to a normal feeling after taking that drug. I went out for brekkie today & was able to eat & enjoy a coffee.....however...... tomorrow the regime starts again.

So, it's a very cold day IMHO. I had to turn up the heat this morning. Some in this house keeps on turning it down & it's not me. So once again it is treatment Tuesday for me. However,,,,,I found out last week that the drug company is withdrawing the study. I am on the last official prescribed dose of this medication. I am apparently the last person left at PMH on the study. It has been so brutal to tolerate this drug. Other people had complications & terrible side effects on this "stuff". So what this means for me at this point, I don't know. It has been keeping the tumours in my lungs from growing, so it has been "working" for me. I thought that things were just falling into place at the hospital with only having to go down there once a month. So, my doc was going to advocate for me & request that the drug be supplied to me on compassionate grounds & that's where I stand for now. I am hopeful they will be on board & agree to supply me with the drug, so I can continue on with the treatment. If not, I guess we'll have to try another approach to this dilemma. KPT-330 has had some really awful side effects. I have medication for the nausea that is OK. Sometimes it works, sometimes it's not all that effective. I have to take other drugs too. Sometimes I feel like a walking pharmacy. I'm still leading a relatively normal life, I just tire very easy. I have to keep on believing & keep the faith.
So I guess, I'll be emailing my nurse today to see where it stands.
Signed,
Loocie in Limbo
