The thing about buying coconut oil... It's a personal preference. Some smell and taste like coconut, other brands don't. Buy Organic and you'll pay more, non-organic can be had cheap. (Although with the hard shell coconuts have, I don't know if it matters that it's organic or not.)
A friend gave me a big jar (one kg?) she bought at Costco for about $19 and it tastes and smells strongly of coconut, which I really like.

I bought a jar at S&H Health. It was $5.98 for 500ml. It doesn't have a fragrance and is very absorbing. It's made by Chapman Farms Naturally. It's pure coconut oil. Says it comes from Purity Life Health Products Inc(Acton, ON). Maybe they have a website

The best deal on coconut oil is the one at Costco. DH goes thorough a ton of it.it is a huge jar so lasts a long time. I personally don't like the taste of any coconut oil (which is weird as I love coconut). It is awesome to use on your hair though... Put a big glob in your hand...rub together to melt and rub through your hair, let sit for 1/2 hour and wash as normal. Make hair smooth and silky.

I've actually never used coconut oil. I have been using red palm oil recently. Dr.Oz says that red palm oil is even better for you than coconut oil.

I'm not sure that I always trust everything Dr. Oz says. It looks like red palm oil is way more expensive:
Cheapest Coconut Oil - $0.61/100ml (from http://healthyprice.ca/products/cook...ls/coconut-oil)
Cheapest Red Palm Oil - $1.80/100ml (from http://healthyprice.ca/products/cook...s/red-palm-oil)Follow my deals on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SaveWithSabrina

I bought Artisana Coconut Oil from ebay. They have it for $11 454g. Very worth the price, now that's a steal!
