Hearts, Stars, Gold, Blue, Pink -- what do they mean?

Some people have gold hearts under their avatar. Some have blue. Some have pink.
What do the hearts and stars mean?

I noticed that when you put your mouse over the hearts and stars it says about almost everyone "has a reputation beyong repute".

I am asking because I thought I had more hearts and they seem to have disappeared:shrug:

It starts with the colored bars, then stars, then hearts. As reps proceed you through each color, they change.
So it can look really different when you go from having many stars to having a heart, for example.

Do you know what the mean? Have you seen an old thread about the colours and symbols? Thx.

It just means you have earned reps. So the more reps you get, up the colour chart you go as Nat says from green to blue to pink to gold, ( bars, then stars, then to hearts )....something like say you see that you have 5 blue hearts one day and the next they are gone? But in its place you will see it has turned into a pink one instead and uh I don't really think they actually mean much. I liked the gifts we used to have.

yeah, I was given a few gifts and also purchased a few with my limited " candies " that I had earned. It was cute and fun to do!
