CRA question - refund issued, not deposited yet

Mine came about 5-6 days after I requested it in the mail...I think its called a Pass Code or something like that

I think they do it for security reasons..otherwise anyone who knows your SIN & DOB etc ..can sign up for an account on your behalf ..and then you are in big doo doo.

So they mail it to your house ( your address ) for you to sign up for MY ACCOUNT on CRA website...its a hassle but just a one time thing..after that its smooth sailing, all info regarding your taxes available at a click of a button on their site .

Not just for this year, but previous years too ..like Notice of Assessments , credits , rebates , disputes , changes , carry over amounts , TFSA , RRSP etc all available under MY ACCOUNT on CRA website, after your registration.

No you don't need the net file code or web access code anymore to do your taxes or file them online.

If you want to register for MY ACCOUNT on the CRA website to check your refund & lot of other things , fo the initial registration they will mail a code ( more like a PIN ) to your house to set it up , for security reasons.

They want to make sure you are who you say you are , and someone else is not creating a MY ACCOUNT under your name & stealing your identity.

They said by the latest Friday, the 28th, but perhaps sooner. I have heard some others who have spoken with the CRA that it would be Monday, but we really don't know. It's frustrating, but nothing to do about it.

Man can you call cra and find out I hope it's Monday. I think it's going to be Monday to coz the money has been already sent

Yes ok were all good then. Hubby and I have both had a cra acct for years now. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something!

If it was Monday it would already be in our accounts right? Because it processes Friday night for a monday morning? I think anytime between Tuesday and Friday.

Well, that was the glitch, that it said the money had been sent, but it had not been sent.

Ahhh. Ok. Too bad they didn't put a notice on CRA. Would avoid 100000 calls
