CorningWare Deal!!!

My mother gave me 2 CorningWare mugs for Christmas one year in my early 20’s. I STILL LOVE them!!! Not knowing how to cook back then, a full can of Chef Boyardee or ready to cook Campbell’s soup would fit in there perfectly!!! lol This is a ONE BIG MUG and it is the bomb!

Now that I’m 46 my homemade chili, soups or spaghetti sauce that I make, can go in there. It goes in the freezer, the fridge, the microwave and finally into the dishwasher. I’m absolutely in love with them, as there is no transferring of pots but they are so darn expensive!!!

Being a single gal again, eating homemade food out of a mug on the couch while watching the news before seeing your next client … is simply awesome!

Well low and behold today I saw them on a crazy roll back for 5.98 each at Wal-Mart!!! I have been waiting for them to go on sale for a very long time (2 years) and this is the cheapest I have ever found them at. Btw the lids only started to crack on me after 20 years of use from sticking them in the dishwasher. If you hand washed them, you would be good for life!

There were only two on the shelf but since it’s available online I’m thinking of buying 4 more.

Do you have a Corelle/Corningware ouitlet store near you? You can pay pennies instead of the MRSP for transition glass and discontinued colours. They also ship online and offer coupons & codes (I think it's) www.shopworldkitchen.com

I have seen these at the outlet for $5 each. Glad that the lids are now coming in colours instead of just white. Tomato based food stain so easily even though I have a dishwasher!

What a coincidence because we saw this mug (same company at RCSS and in white and DH loves his soup in a bowl and mug is a better fit for him and he wanted a few of these so we paid 10.00 each, got 2 about 2 weeks ago and he absolutely loves them. And I do too, one less pot to clean. Will have to check-out WM and see if we have some at the surrounding Walmarts. They certainly lasted long enough using your experience as an example and even at 10.00 worth the invesment but 5.ish...even better. :-) I wish we had outlets around here. One can dream....Thank you for sharing and DH will be happy too, so thank you from him too as soon as I tell him.

I wish we had an outlet store too! Just a heads up Oscar the Trainyards I picked up the last two and Southkeys had none left on the shelf when I went there yesterday. Just thought I would mention it to you and save you a trip or to try a different location.
