Kinda sad, I think...
(don't mean to be a party-pooper, just don't get the whole boozehound thing....)

I'm um...not...
On this diet I'm not touching the stuff of course, (okay, Saturday when we had company over), but give me a warm summer
evening in the gazebo, on the swing, and the whole thing is just begging for a
nice big glass of wine...
And cheering for your team, celebrating in a bar, to win a gold medal at the Olympics...well, I just can't see those people sipping tea and coffee...or, heaven forbid, Coke...

Not sure what the time is in other provinces but here they can start serving at 8 a.m. until 3 a.m.
Did they change it everywhere yesterday?

I think Vancouver opted out. Toronto was all in!! Our places were serving at 6:00 a.m. I thought. Personally I would have drifted off back to sleep if I had drank alcohol then, but I was thrilled for the die hard hockey fans to have their breakfast served with a brew if that is what they can handle.

9:30 is the usual opening (used to be later, but mind you, bars used to be closed here Sundays not long ago), so the provincial liquor law had to be changed for that day so they could open at 5:30, since the game was starting at 6:00 a.m. here.
Prince Albert, a city in northern SK, was the only city which asked the government not to open the bars early, and they weren't.

It was the time of the morning thing which got to me, not necessarily the drinking thing...
I could see the sports bars and others opening earlier for the game, serving a breakfast, juices, coffee/tea, etc. -
