Thanks.
I would really appreciate some help to understand the purpose of this thread ... 'DEALS' is part of the title, yet so many items get listed that are certainly not that, and make it so hard on the eye to spot what is (a Deal), imho!
examples are many ... here are a few: Stewing Beef - $4.49lb; Chicken Breasts $10 each (Food Basics);
3lb Empire or Spartan Apples $3.99 each; Prime Rib Steak or Roast $8.99 per lb, Medium Ground Beef $3.99 per lb; Stewing Beef $4.99 per lb (IGA)
Sweet Green Peppers $2.49 per lb; Beefsteak Tomatoes $2.99 per lb ...geez, I just paid $0.79lb at Dutchies ... (Loblaws)
These are Not deals, folks; I wouldn't pay these prices unless I was starving! ... colour me, Confused!:shock:
What you consider a "deal" might be different than what someone else does. TBH, I post all the commonly purchased meat, produce and other "staple" items from the flyer. Some people like to see all of them incase they are redeeming/earning points or something like that they might pay a little extra at one store over another. Different people have different needs...if I only listed what I would personally pay for on this thread, there wouldn't be much of anything on it. :-)
You are more than welcome to edit the wiki with any deals you find.
If people don't find this thread has a purpose, let me know, I won't do it.
thank you for the explanation, Venuila. You highlighted some things I hadn't really considered. I do find your efforts very helpful, as I'm sure many others do, so thanks for that, and please continue. :-)
Thank you Venuila. I like this thread, it makes it easier to see the price and compare them than going to flyer after flyer..............:-)
I can't find the roast deal in the Freshco flyer, is it just for a specific city?
