Does Target do markdowns on the weekend?

There's something on clearance I have been eyeing (sorry, won't mention what as I don't want it getting scooped up!) but right now it is at 50% and they have a lot, so I'm waiting until it goes to 70% to buy it. I have been going every day to make sure I don't miss out, but I really just want to be a hermit today! However, with stores getting more traffic on the weekends, I fear it will be marked down again and all gone by tomorrow or Monday. So, does anybody know/have you seen them doing markdowns on the weekend?

I'm going to reply to my own post and say that no, I don't think they do, at least not in my store. The item (a suitcase) finally went down to 70% off yesterday :)

they do mark downs every day of the week, and yes in every store. They may not physically get around to TICKETING them on the weekend at your store, but there are mark downs on a daily basis.

I was wondering the same thing. :) Good to know.

... I only know that the 50%/70%/90% changes happen at my store on Fridays, coinciding with the new flyers.
