I'm looking to get some good make up brushes(blush, assorted eye brushes and a contour brush at the bare minimum). I can't afford 20+ for a brush even if I space the purchases out. I'm hoping to find brushes between 5-10 a brush or a set between 20-40. I'm currently using brushes from Quo and I can't say I care for them.
Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

Mac brushes are awesome. Efl and Sigma brushes are just as good too.

I have brushes I got from MUA school.. not that it helps but their good and I`ve had them for four years..
I have some quo ones (eye brushes) I like. I had a blush brush and all the brissles fell out.
Kubiki brush from make up for ever. Actually yeah, make up for ever has really nice brushes. They are at sephora and the bay.
I was also going to recommend EcoTools (sold in Walmart and some drugstores).
There's also Real Techniques (sold in WalMart and some drugstores too in some provinces). They're made by the same company as Ecotools.
Look for Ecotools on ebay as well. They go for cheaper than in stores.
And I definitely, totally and completely recommend ELF. After a while brushes get gunky and hairs fall out and should be replaced, so for the same price as one set from Shoppers or something, you could get 2 or maybe 3 depending on the deal.
EDIT: I've just found out there are a lot of fake ecotools sets on ebay. Be careful.
My favorites are smashbox and vat von d. If you buy a set they aren't too bad and they will last forever
Ecotools and Real Technique brushes are cheap and reliable (Walmart, London Drugs) If your looking at eventually spending more, MAC brushes are great (I've had one for 10 years and hasn't falled apart). Sephora sells various brush sets too.
Target sells Sonia Kashuk brushes. Some are pricier than your budget but others are not. Darn, I think they were on sale last week or there was a printable and I forgot to check them out. I have 2-3 of her brushes that got good review that I picked up in the US.
Also, I've seen some Elf brushes in Dollarama -but that was some time go. I got mine at Target in the US- don't know if Target Canada has them. I have brushes from $1 to $60 and brand is no guarantee.

I love the brushes from Arbonne, I think its like $40/set.
E.L.F. and Mac cosmetics are my favourite. I used to buy the Mac holiday brushes for $60 since one is too expensive. I've switched to E.L.F. and they are $3 each and are excellent quality!
I have a multitude of brushes...i also like Bdellium and the Sephora professional brushes. I've found these don't bleed or lose shape after multiple washes!
