Hasn't Walmart been advertising the bananas/chicken/sugar for weeks now? The bananas and chicken, sure, but how many 2kg bags of sugar do you need? I'll get my sugar from the Hersheys on for 2/$6 LOL

The bananas, sugar, milk, eggs, bread, chicken, etc. advertisments that have been going on for weeks will likely continue. It is in an effort to make consumers realise that they offer reasonable prices on essentials all the time.

Freshco has started to do it as well now in their flyers.

As a side note - Freshco has sugar 2KG on sale currently (last day) for $0.98, so to pay $1.97 or whatever WM advertises it for would be silly.
