We are the same

The only babysitters we've ever had were my mom and my SIL. Now that SIL has kids of her own she can't babysit and my mom is usually quite busy (still works FT).

DH and I have had many discussions about finding a babysitter but I just can't seem to commit.

My sister and her two girls are who I normally get but they are always busy. I did a "kids night out" thing where I dropped him off at a play place from 6 to 9 once but he doesn't like me to leave him there, so it was really hard. I would prefer to find someone to come here. Even just once a month lol, I'd love to go see an adult movie in theatres, maybe more often than once every year or two Even just being able to go get a haircut without him along lol.

Our babysitters charge between $8 and $10/hr for our 2 kids (5 and 6).

$10 seems to be standard here- but I guess like everything else- It really depends where you are from.

Well unfortunately didn't get my package in the mail when I wanted to but will have it in the mail before mail day as mail day I have to have 3 moles removed from my back (which I'm definitely not looking forward to) as the doctor is quite concerned about them... then she will be removing more at a later date..... It's such a simple procedure but yet still nervous.....

It's such beautiful day here. I wish I was more of an "outdoorsy" kinda girl so I could go enjoy it, but I'll have to settle for enjoying it on the way to the mall.

My package will get done tonight if it's the last thing I do!!!!

Yesterday was beautiful here but this morning we woke up to a fresh dump of snow. Tomorrow is supposed to be +7 so there's going to be puddles everywhere. lol. Guess I'm not walking DD to school as I planned.

Today we decided to take the kids to McDonalds playplace instead of swimming. I hate going swimming when it's so cold outside. lol.

I plan on going to enrol the kids in swimming lessons tomorrow. It's been almost 2 years since they were in lessons since DH was travelling and I can't help 2 kids myself. lol. DD is now old enough to do her lessons alone without parent assistance. Yay! Just hope it goes well, she's hates getting her head wet. Washing her hair is a royal PITA.

Well we got our pics done today as I said we were but Im glad it was only a free pic cause Im extremely dissapointed! Thought it was a package deal only to find out it was only a free 10x13! Then when i said i wanted a packagedeal she started rambling about the fact that i could not get this family pic for the $13.99 and started throwing prices at me that were completely unheard of! Expecially since as far as im concerned she was a horrible photographer! This is the family pic we got though

Today we went to visit my sister in law. Her husband died on Tues. There`s no memorial service til June. I didn`t know him very well...think I saw him less than 10 times in over 26 years.
