I spoke with her yesterday and she sounded more "grounded". She is trying to keep her life as "normal" as possible. That includes volunteering at a local hospice. She continues to help others as she has all her life. We decided to meet in London when she comes to see the other specialist. Another of our friends has offered to drive her so that will be great and I'll decide whether I'll travel back to KW with them. Unfortunately, she has not yet heard about the appointment, which is disturbing.
