I bought a 649 the other day for last week's draw, the first ticket of any kind I've purchased in about 5 years, so no, I don't buy tickets; I figure the money I saved on them have been having babies in the bank over the years..:)
I should get that ticket checked...I'll ask hubby; I don't even know what to do...:-~
I hate gambling....my mother is an addict, I've seen so many families lose everything.....so many seniors that are lonely spending their cheques at the casino....it's horrible.....I hate gambling in general, but I really thinks casinos should be obliterated
I don't gamble, also don't drink or smoke( I consider them to be gambling but with my health). I only buy quick-pick tickets if DH asks me to.
I hate even the possibility of getting into gambling so much that when someone gave me a scratch ticket once for my birthday and it was a $10 winner, I threw it out without collecting the money. I don't have issues with other people doing it, as long as they can handle it responsibly, but it isn't for me.
I am not a gambler but my DH buy his lottery every week and we both go to the casino sometimes I don’t play I just be there as his lucky charm. I don’t think it’s bad once you know your budget and can stick to it
My dh am I bet on a lot of things. football, cards, scrabble, cribbage, what my mom will cook us for our Wednesday dinners with her. But its all small bets and anything we lose goes into a pot for our vacation. We also buy scratch tickets and loto tickets on occasion with the winnings going in the pot too. It's a fun way to save.
I am not a gambler, too, but every month I buy a lottery ticket, during 12 years already. Managed to win 500 max, but I never hoped for a jack pot. I also can play some online casino, but never bet a lot, just relaxing and entertaining this way.
There are games that tighten more than any drug. I can sit for days, not eat, do not sleep, do not move away from the computer and forget about all the natural needs and needs of a normal person. And if all these needs and needs force me to break away from the screen, I run headlong to get back to the game as soon as possible. Tear me off the game, except for a living person, can only phone.
Here's a philosophical twist on the original question. Is it gambling if the odds basically guarantee you'll win, at least long-term? For instance, is blackjack gambling for a person who is good at counting cards? Is poker gambling for someone who only plays against opponents who are clearly inferior?
