Cheap rates in the afternoon, eh walker, since you were probably done your route at 11am you could easily catch an afternoon flick on the country's dime...
I do remember the huge cineplex theatre complex at the Eaton Centre. The screens were no bigger than most of the flat screen tvs everyone has these days.I can't profess to understand God's plan. Christ promised the resurrection of the dead. I just thought he had something a little different in mind.

You are adorably misguided ev. I was NEVER finished any of my routes by 11:00 a.m. ( I wish! )
I also would have no idea about how cheap the afternoon rates were because I was still at work??
I had 3 kids as well, so when I slipped into see a flick it was not on anyone's dime but my own.

The Hundred-Foot Journey-9/10. Cinematography, scenery, actors. Wouldn't want the stressful life depicted. Loved hearing a Bollywood song at the credits. Manish Dayal is handsome and easy on the eyes...
Could have done without the Cineplex Pre-Show (and at full volume), the 3 or 4 VW commercials and half of the trailers (Into the Woods looks more like a Sleepy Hollow sequel with Johnny Depp in costume (though it's his hand on that trunk in the trailer?) except for the 2nd Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. That look's to be another round of hoots for 2015!
Including me, there were 11 in the audience. The lights went down partway through the commercials.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I noticed a poster for The Book of Life, an animated feature with dolls typical of Day of the Dead festivities in Mexico (trailer shown today). I thought it might be a Tim Burton film but it's by Guillermo del Toro. Could the Jack Skellington-type of film that could do well.
What comes out of Hollywood studios for most part is 0/10 for me. That is why I look for a good story first and there are some international actors I'll follow if their work appeals to me.
Chris Pine is part of the Into the Woods cast. Cannot believe he went for a Prince role-he's usually Mr. Action, so this could be either a way to expand his range or something about the project (cast? Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Anna Kendrick) could have appealed to him. I'll wait for it to come out on DVD as the movie theatrical release date is this Christmas.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

So I finally rented Winter's Tale from Red Box ( Colin Farrel, Russell Crowe ) 10/10 easily!!
You will need the following to enjoy it fully though....an acceptance of the good vs evil premise
A pair of rose coloured glasses to look past the hard to believe aspects
A box of tissues for the tear jerking parts
Snacks and your mate ( or you bff ) to share it with!!
I will NOT say any more just rent it if you have the time, such a lovely movie with twists and surprises!!

Grown Ups 2 - 7/10.
I found it much funnier than I probably should have. Definitely better than the first one IMO.

Maleficent...excellent and I do not like Angelina Jolie. Not one bit.
But the movie was very entertaining....cute twist on an old tale.
