Our theatre was all out of the bags with tabs too! That was annoying as I was using up my free popcorn prize from the peel and pop win and was also applying the free upgrade win, then I look at the bag and NO tab!
About the movie Sausage Party, I mean DH and I both laughed in some spots and it had some aspects that were o.k. but overall I felt a little duped for what it ended up being. Sounds like you had a great date night!Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Aug 18th, 2016 at 10:46 AM.
2023 had better show some promise or else!

Eddie the Eagle - 7/10
The Boss - 1/10... I fell asleep within the first five minutes. This is DH's rating. He said it was horrid.

I just watched a couple of movies on a looong plane ride. The first was The Lobster with Colin Farrell and Rachel Weiss. I was totally captivated, it was freaky weird but I knew that before I watched it. Lots of graphic animal death, if that disturbs you maybe dont watch it but all in all it was an interesting, refreshingly different movie. The other one I watched was the old movie Dazed and Confused with Matthew McConaughey. I have always wondered why this movie has earned cult status and I can now see why. Again, not a conventional movie but it was really fun and very much a throw back to my own youth. It is basically a party night on the last day of high school movie and that is the plot, period. Lots of great old music and very nostalgic to the late 70s.

Jason Bourne 6/10
There wasn't a whole lot to this film. Media and critics made a lot out of the fact that Matt Damon didn't say much, which is true. A couple of fight scenes, a motorcycle chase and a double cross.... it's like the filler episode of a tv series.

I saw "Searching for Sugarman", the documentary about Sixto Rodriguez. Good film if you like Rodriguez. He's a sort of rougher Bob Dylan.

Ted 2, 2/10 ... I think I laughed once and I`m definitely not a saint when it comes to raunchy humor...

The Secret Life of Pets 7/10
It was ok, certainly not what I was expecting. Wanted to see Suicide Squad but it was only playing in D-Box at our theatre. While it sounds like a whole lot of fun, I'm not paying $22 per seat for two hours. That would be $100 JUST for the movie. Now add the bendover prices of the snacks.... no way. Not doing it.

Great baseball movie

Tina Fey was great, not a comedy like I was expecting though, although it had it's funny moments.

10 Cloverfield Lane - 5/10
It started out ok but the end went sideways. It was totally disjointed, they tried patching two completely different plots together and it just didn't work. It was almost as if two people were writing the story.... but not together. One of them wrote the first 3/4 and the other person had to figure out how to finish it without ever reading the first part. And the way it ended hinted at a sequel. Not sure if I'd be interested in seeing it.

Well, dont poo poo it just because of what I said. You may end up liking it. A lot of reviewers on IMDB loved it. I think overall it got a 7.9.
