I dunno?? I guess this movie went way beyond my understanding or something because for most of it I wanted to ask DH " what does that mean? "...but I didn't.
This was actually a small letdown since I have been soooooooo looking forward to seeing BladeRunner 2049.
I'll give it a 7/10
There were parts I really liked... the visual of what earth looks like at that time.....so well done imho.
Whatever the Oscar is for in that category, they should get it.
Dave Bautista and Edward James Olmos are in it!! ( bonus )
Some light humour, and a few nostalgic entertainment movie/music fragments were a good choice to contrast the reality of what life is now
However......the gosh darn loud ( TOO LOUD!!! ) eardrum hurting... dare I call it music? No sound effects would be more accurate.
It was used way too often, also in many scenes this noise dragged on and on and on....a person walking s-l-o-w-l-y toward something, yeah we get it! You want us on the edge of our seats, bracing for what is to come!! Shut the damn sound track off already!
Easy on the eyes was Ryan of course, Harrison held his own, and Jared Leto was o.k. but no Oscar worthy performance this time. The actresses portraying key roles were all amazing....and don't cross any of them....ouch, they'll cut ya!
Finally saw Wonder Woman. It was way too long and just not as exciting as other superhero movies.
Not what I was expecting. I only give it 7/10.
Saw Reservoir Dogs yesterday for the first time.. and the last. It was hideous.
Today, it was The Big Sick. I can't find one thing wrong with this movie. 10/10
I have a few more waiting to be watched. I will post reviews as I see them.
The good news is, I found out yesterday, that there's another Stephen King novel coming to the big screen and it happens to be one of my all-time favorites - The Talisman. I really hope they don't screw it up.
Baby Driver - 7/10
Great music, not enough driving.
Going In Style - 8/10
You can't go wrong with Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Arkin.
@GoJays agreed on the Talisman as a fave but I never find the movies as scary as a Stephen King book, I mean It was not at all scary considering I needed therapy after I read the book. :-)
Me too @lilo0003 ! It is the reason that I hate clowns to this day. And I agree that the movies never seem to live up to the book. Even Pet Semetary was ho hum. I haven't seen It yet so I can't comment.
I can always recommend The Shawshank Redemption and Green Mile. Settle in (they are long) for a whole range of emotions...
watched an oldie ( 1968 ) but a goodie yesterday afternoon....Your's, Mine and Ours ( Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda ) and oh the 19 kids!! Some of the kid actors carried on their careers, others left show business shortly after.
9/10 ( a corny movie, but still sweet! )
DH was watching that one too, @walkonby . I asked him if I'd seen it before. His reply was, 'yes, I made you watch it a long time ago.'
Psh, still don't remember seeing it.
A Cure for Wellness - ?/10
This movie is a mindf*#k. Weird weird weird.
IS it Nov 3rd yet????
No. That's in two days. Wait... what's then?
