Also interested to know prices of garbage bags, coffee filter, hand dish soap, facial tissue, paper towel and other common household items. I've been couponing on and off but I find it a challenge because I'm not the main household shopper. I give them coupons but sometimes they don't use them. They don't seem to mind paying extra for convenience too. Whereas I would go from store to store or price match if I can.
Sounds like you should be doing the shopping and this thread is a great place to start.

Try not to pay anything: toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bodywash etc, pasta
$1: fruit/veggies (each or per lb), 5lb potatoes, dish detergent & other cleaners, sandwich bags, wrap, foil etc, mustard, pasta sauce,
    Laundry $0.05/load
    Toilet paper $3-4 (minus coupon),
Meats: $1.50-$2/lb max for ground ($3 if chicken/turkey), $3 cubed beef, $4 (usually when they are on for $3.44) boneless skinless chicken
Milk $1/L (at SDM with points on it)
Cheese $4/500g (usually stock up at $3.50-$4 when there is a coupon but went crazy with the Target sale so wont be buying for a while)

We shell out for Tide, usually at $4.99 because it works better on his nasty work clothes, but I try to get it cheaper

after Walmart and Target holiday sales, will never pay
more than $0.10 for a small gift bag
more than $0.25 for a large gift bag
Walmart's after Christmas sales a while back had gift bags that could be used for many occasions

For dishwasher detergent, Finish offers MIRs so often not sure why anyone would be paying for them

congratulations on your free dishwasher tabs

if we are stocking up, we pay for ours with points
    or
if they are giving excellent points plus a good sale is on, we purchase them

we have had problems with mail in rebates, so we don't bother wasting time or stamps

I agree, I try to never pay more than .10 cents a tab which is my maximum price I will pay.I do the MIR for finish as well but I highly doubt I could do enough MIR's to never pay for dish tabs again! We run a load a day for our family.

Here is a link to my lowest price list: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5M...it?usp=sharing
These are all pre-coupon prices, so sometimes some of this stuff is free or I get overage for.
