Thread: RCSS price match policy change in my store
-

Yesterday I was shopping at RCSS which is my favorite store for shopping and price matching. While I was price matching, they told me that this store has a new manager and he has instructed the staff to stop price matching any Asian grocery store flyer prices. I was a bit disappointed at this policy change and I wonder if anyone else has had similar experience recently in other RCSS stores. My store is in Toronto (Dufferin & Steeles location).

I have never tried any of the asian flyers because we dont have any that are local. But my store doesn't allow a MF coupon and a Coupon Zone to be used on same product so I drive to my moms store and they allow it. !!! Sometimes this can lead to free or almost free items. So it covers the gas and then some.

simplylgg this has been happening all over, my RCSS that I go to did it quite a while ago. Plus there was another member on here that posted a thread like yours as it had just had it happened to her as well. I suppose RCSS realizes that the produce in these various markets is quite a bit lower than their own inflated produce prices and people ( like me!! ) were often walking away with bigger fresher fruits and veggies for less than half the price.

That was one of the biggest reason for me to shop at RCSS despite the fact that I have to drive a bit and pass by Food Basics, NF, FreshCo, Lablaws, Value Mart and Walmart to get there. Their price match policy was great and most cashiers were supper friendly and unlike walmart PMing was super easy. In future, I will still go shopping there and now have to make one extra stop at NF for PMing the asian flyers. The only challenge I have with NF is that they are always super busy and I hate to hold the line price matching.

Please send an e-mail to head office and let them know that you have to drive extra to get to RCSS and what has made you unhappy about their policy change

I also shop at that RCSS (well I used to) and they also told me that they no longer price match Chinese super markets. Heartbreaking news...lmao. It used to be an awesome store that was really good about price matches. It's just not worth it for me to travel there anymore
