i will never dismiss the royal family or the history
we have together.
disappointed no speech mentioned camilla
except charlies'.
and yes camilla did have the nova scotia tartan
on her lapels. heard a few news people saying
that the tartan was her family's.
as for changing the money, hell no.
harper on the hundred - cuss he steals it.
and harper on the penny too.

Natalka. I know you like the monarchy and that's fine. Your ancestry is Ukranian, and the British monarchy is part of your new homeland so you embrace it. My ancestry, though, is Irish. What the English did to my people is horrific. During the potato famine that spread through Europe in the 1840's the English took all the crops the Irish farmers grew and sent them to England. A million Irish died from starvation while the food they grew fed the English, and another million Irish emigrated to the Americas to escape starvation. A third of them died on the passage from disease and starvation. I'm here today because my ancestors survived that passage.
I don't like seeing the queen on my coins, and I sure don't care that Charles is visiting.Last edited by DaveP; Mon, May 19th, 2014 at 10:27 AM.

Oh my, Natalka.
I did not know my question about Charles and Camilla would go down the road it did.
Apologies.
Guess I was asking because Charles was married before (Diana) but was with Camilla before his marriage. Was just wondering if with royalty and such, if this was nice/not nice.

sorry i did apparently appear nasty and i was.
so mostly sorry to dave.
do hope the paper mill, across the way from
pictou was shut down for the day, because
holy shoot the smell from that is terrible, and
covers a lot of territory.
ie at least new glasgow, stellarton, (as in the tim
horton's commercial).
one time the queen was in new glasgow, (1959?)
they drove up marsh street, by my grandparents
home, and of course everyone was out to see, wave,,,
the question in the family was did nanny wear
her white gloves, that she always wore when out.
guessing she must have - hey a little town in nova scotia
who wouldn't have their white gloves on to wave
to royalty?
re the tartan part, the french history in nova scotia,
goes way back as they 'settled' the region, and
with the mi'kac fought a hundred years of war
against the british to claim ns, new brunswick, maine.
extra special for some:
prince charles is going to be on george's show
