possible silly question for personalised shoppers coupons

my friend just gave me shoppers coupons and i just realised it has her last 4 digits of her card on the coupon, do you have to scan my friends optimum card to get the discount or can I just use the coupon without the card?

If you cashier allows to use those coupon's with some one else card,like yours or your DH or DS etc etc,you can use those.
last week I got $2 off coupon on any cereal and cashier asked me if I can print 4 coupons for her,she will be very thankful,and I told her no problem I will print them and bring them on Monday,and she use those coupons in front of me even without the card.

It will work with someone else's card, the trick is getting the cashier to let you use it. I accidentally gave my card when using DH's personal coupons, and the cashier said the coupons wouldn't work. I knew it would, but told her to scan my card anyways. She said the only way to do that was to void the order and ring it all in again (I find that hard to believe that they can't scan a different card after starting a transaction, it works with airmiles). I stood there and said I guess you'll have to void it, because I want to use these coupons, lol. That's when she decided to try them with my card, and wow, it worked

Does this only work with $ off personal coupons, not point ones?

I was at shoppers a few weeks ago and used a bunch of coupons, he accidentally totaled it as I was getting out my card and all the coupons went through without a card even being scanned, he said "woah that isn't suppose to happen".
