I had a 16,000 points WUB $60 in cosmetics in my personalized offer this week. The following is what I purchased and how many points I received. Received a total of 39320 points which is worth $91 if I redeem during a bonus redemption $220 for 95,000 points.

    6 milk @ $3.30 = $19.80
Gosh products for a total of $63
    1 Royal TP @ $3.99
    Total purchase: $95.50 with taxes

I received the following in points.
    Regular: 860
    Product Bonus Points: 1620
    Department Bonus Points: 2000
    Transaction Bonus Points: 32340
    Purchased a $100 GC beforehand: 1000 points
Used my Optimum Mastercard to purchase the GC: 1500 points
    Total: 39320 points

Thank you for the reply. I went SDM this evening, but milk and eggs all sold out. I don't have too many things to buy. It is too hard for me to spend $60, so I just came back without buying anything. I will wait for next good deal.
No worries .... I've learned that there is always another good deal Like this week they will probably offer another points promo on wednesday or friday - by email invite....

Usually the staples I buy include - 2-3 4L Milk, Silk, eggs, yogurt, juice, bread/bagels, tinned tuna or tuna kits, sometimes lean cuisine or other frozen lunches, cereal, crackers. I then look for the really good sales - shampoos or soaps on sale, toilet paper, towels, toothpaste.... I wish SDM would carry a nicer selection of gift type items but ours doesn't.

Spending the big dollar amounts just to get points doesn't make sense .... follow Momi's lead - she does small shops mainly and still picks up a load of points

Nice shop. So you spent $95 and have $91 in points value - amazing!
Do you like the Gosh cosmetics? I've only ever bought the odd nail polish or lip gloss of theirs.

I like their mascara. They are $17 each so I usually stock up when I can get them with a good points deal.

Good to know...I don't usually buy expensive mascara - lol I think I got turned off by the Lancome mascara years ago - it was expensive and yet it dried out so quickly - now I just buy the <$10 ones like Almay or Maybelline ...

Did it try out in within three months? For hygienic purposes (so you don't get such things as pink eye), you are supposed to toss your mascaras every 3-6 months.

I don't honestly remember how long it lasted - just that I was surprised how dry it had gotten. Same feeling with one of the Physician Formula eyeliners - was really dry shortly after opening it - like within a month...
