Spec article on last night's accessibility meeting on transit with Metrolinx and HSR:
I don't see meeting notes on Metrolinx's site but notice that there will be an accessibility meeting in Toronto on Nov. 23:Quote:
By the time the meeting at Hamilton Central Library ended, however, those attending were encouraged to hear Metrolinx, which runs GO, will install visual signs on all train cars devoted to the disabled — and will "robustly" train staff on assisting the disabled public.
But Craig Ellis, who is hard of hearing, said he's not sure why it's so difficult to get visual signage on all the train cars instead of just the one that is accessible.

ive noticed that when i call the bus line to get the next bus time...its always OFF by the shedule times posted at the stop. r all the bus times off or is it just mine ? (mohawk)
Mohawk and Stonechurch and Rymal routes all encounter construction or traffic jams or accidents. General tip is to be at the bus stop 5-10min ahead of scheduled time. The Ancaster bus sometimes can be early on mornings or evenings if there are usually no passengers at most stops on its runs. Seen this happen!
The other issue with Mohawk-it would have had a detour last Sat as Ottawa Street North was closed for Sew Hungry-is buses having to go off route for flooded underpass at Kenilworth in heavy rain, an accident or a road closure.
Lots of school kids rely on Mohawk and Mohawk East buses to get them across the city and connected to other buses! The truck and traffic volume on Mohawk route can also be a headache in rush hours.
