I have been using my coupons more for their Popsicles or Fruittare and a sale of course! Seems like since the coupons came up so did the price.

one of my kids pointed out that it was a frozen dessert not real ice cream. it is in very small print. Sure can tell the difference in taste. Some ice cream/frozen desserts have what is called emulsifiers in them that prevent them from melting ...but overnight and still not melted whoa! Chapman's and Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream are my favourites.

Have you seen those popsicles that have gelatin in them to make them melt slower so kids don't just end up with a sticky fist 10 seconds after opening their treat outdoors?

I'd bet this is the same, gelatins and solidifiers to prevent it becoming a puddle.

A couple of weeks ago, I was visiting my neighbour and she served ice cream. I thought it was green tea ice cream, given the colour, but it was yummy. Turns out there was a secret ingredient...spinach! Did I mention it was yummy??? And yes, my brain hurt trying to process the thought of spinach in ice cream. The recipe was in Costco's mag (http://www.costcoconnection.com/conn...103?pg=54#pg54).

btw, as a kid I used to melt my ice cream too & mix in pieces of crackers/pretzels/chips, anything salty (yes, I'm weird ).
Thanks, I have all the ingredients I just might try it!!
