Spend $50 and get $10 gift card @ target

From June 20 to 22nd,
target has promotion for its anniversary sale spend $50 and get $10 gift card.
so I think we should do almost all of our price matching at target and should get $10 gift card,though we can not buy all groceries but still milk,bread,eggs,cookies,laundry,pet food,skin care and beauty care products.
make your list and enjoy your shopping.

I would like to know also. And not just $ off coupons, but also FPCs

Here's an old thread about being able to buy non-Target GCs. But it's from last Oct and things may have changed.

Thanks tiffy I would put more stock into what other SCers say when they tried. Store staff seem to always give the answer where you have to spend more Even at SDM, cashiers are still saying it's after coupons and we all know that's not true (unless FPCs)!

Any word on if non-Target GCs still qualify?

Lol i agree with that one- lady looked confused when i mentioned the promotion because "its in next weeks flyer so i havent heard anything about it". And if im correct- the small print on the flyer says gift cards dont qualify :/

Total should be after coupons,but some cashier do allow to use your gift card towards your purchase,
for example if you are going to spend $50 they can deduct $10 from $50 so you pay $40 plus taxes.
last year I bought iPad Air from target,
they had the promotion $100 gift card with iPad Air purchase,
iPad air was $499.00
but they deduct $100 from the price and I paid $399,also when they deduct the amount from the total price you pay taxes on the remaining balance not on the total balance,
so I saved another $15 because I paid taxes on $399.00 instead of $499.
i had also made a purchase last year spend $75 and get $15 gift card.
the system automatically deduct $15 so I paid taxes on $65.
it entirely depends on the staff and management.

Oh wow. That's interesting and smart! May be i'll ask them to deduct the gc amount instead of gc. Hopefully they do it here in our local target too.

Interesting, because if you look at any Target receipt, mfr coupons are considered as payment. So.... shouldn't it be before coupons? as in have the cashier ring in all items to show the $50 subtotal, then get the gift card and then use the mfr coupons (not target coupons) as payment.... ??

at Sdm screen tells the cashier too issue the promo to the customer,even if you are using coupons.
For example if the promotion is spend $50 and get $10 gift card,if I spend $50 and my total after manufacturer coupons is $20,when cashier will hit the final total button,screen will turn green and will tell the cashier too issue promo,but here at target nothing like that the promo is consider after coupons and discounts.
