I'm not from there, but I've never heard of Sobeys Extra stores, none here.
Wowsers on the pasta deal!
There are not many here yet either, but both of the ones close to me have been renovated and reopened as Sobeys Extra
They have a bigger organic section than regular Sobeys and are generally bigger and have more products (when the local one opened, they said it had 5000 more SKUs than the regular one it replaced) and at least in my experience with the previous one, more freshly prepared food.Quote:

Lots of "ambassadors" giving you samples or helping you pick items (think the Target of Groceries - I think 5-6 people asked if they could help us)

We also have Sobeys Urban Fresh which is the opposite it is smaller and typically in downtown areas and concentrate on fresh foods and basics
our sobeys store is closing in one month
The other one near me closed too, the Extra stores are both quite far, I will go for great deals but I won't do any regular shopping there
Did you mean Primo pasta sauce, or is there actually a Hunts?
