Cut hair for donation!

Yesterday, I finally got around to having my hair cut!

I was hoping to get off at least eight inches, so I could donate the hair - turns out, it's just over 13 inches!
My hair is now just to my shoulder.

It will help someone, somewhere!

It's the second time I've donated.

You've inspired me - my hair almost reaches the small of my back...dont know how many inches that is, but I'm sure it can be donated. I'll need to look into this

d.ot, it needs to be only eight inches long.

Because of the way the stylist cut my hair, she didn't cut it off all at once in a ponytail. She cut it in sections, and carefully put it all together after.

Thanks for the link! My dd is growing her hair out to donate, and I couldn't find a salon that did it(back when I donated it certain salons would cut it and send it away for you but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore).

Yes, same here - when I did it a few years ago, the salon looked after it as well.

Locally, when a salon holds a fundraiser for the donated locks, it's usually on a Sunday and in conjunction with a group or organization trying to raise funds and hair donations.
Just read through a copy of your local SNAP'D paper to see which places have done them. You can also check back issues online for event photos.
