Heartbroken

My dog Goblin ( aka Little Man) suddenly passed away yesterday morning. He had been on meds for an infection in his bowel. But they were not enough. He ran a massive fever during the night. I tried every available vet 24 emergency line but no one picked up. All I could do was cradle him while his lungs filled up. He gasped for breath and screamed in pain. And I could only cry and scream as well. He suffocated in my arms. I am in so much pain.........................

I'm so sorry that your having to go through this wolfwoman. You did all you could for Goblin and now his soul is in peace. I bet you gave Goblin the best life that you possibly could have. If you need someone to talk to feel free to pm me :)

wolfwoman, I am so sorry for the loss of Goblin :( Losing a pet is never easy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Were here for you :)

Oh Wolfwoman :( my heart is broken for you too. poor thing. at least you were there to comfort him. not sure if they help but some major (((HUGS))) for you.

I am so SO sorry for your pain. Letters on a page don't help much I know, but please know many of us have gone through similar things and we surely know how horrible you feel. Wish we could make it go away for you dear. It may not seem like much now. . .but Goblin knew you loved him. For a dog that's everything. We can't make things perfect but we can give our best. . .and you did.

Knowing what a pet lover you are from all your posts I am heartbroken for you. There is nothing like having a pet die in your arms. It's devastating I know, been there. Felt so helpless.

When the time is right here is a little pick me up. This makes me smile every time.

Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. You have no idea how much this support means to me right now. DH was a mountain of strength for me while he was here but is now out of the country for work. I can keep busy during the day but at night I am alone. Again, thank you.

Wolfie, sorry I just caught your thread today, I cannot imagine the sadness just holding him as Goblin passed on. Too many tears to think straight, I bet that is your day now. He was not that old so I know you probably feel he surely got short changed.

Oh Wolfwoman! I just read your post about your surprise package. Then I came here and read your sad, sad story. I have tears in my eyes. We have 2 precious doggies that are a major part of our lives. We did lose a beloved dog to a car accident and I stroked him all the way to the vet, knowing that he was leaving. Our voices are soothing and your holding him was the best you could offer. Bless you for making a creature feel loved!

Wolfwoman, I just found your post. So sorry for your loss. Goblin knew you loved him and I`m sure that was a comfort to him. We`ve lost pets too and it leaves a hole in your heart. So glad your DH got you a new Little Man to love.
