This is a brag for me.
I went to target tonight and the product I wanted to buy had a diff price than on the shelf.
When I mentioned it, I had NO ISSUE!!!!!!
WTF!!!!!!!!
I just said what the shelf said and it was an AUTOMATIC price adjustment.
No fight, no proof.....just pure customer service.

Does Target empower their staff to make that decision on the spot or did you get a mgr of some sort at the cash? That's fantastic....
A story like that could encourage me to shop there ... so far I've just viewed it as another Zellers where no one really was empowered (or wanted) to assist you Thank you!

My experience has been that the cashier is empowered.

Yes, if what the guest says sounds reasonable then it is not an issue.

Twice I've bought the Reser's potato salad and for some reason its not on file. Both times the cashier asked me if I knew the price and just punched it in.

Had the same thing happen the last two times I was at Target. It's good the cashiers are so agreeable -- "empowered" -- but I would rather the prices scanned correctly.
Abuse coupons, not people!

i think it depends on location.. one location in town is the same.. where another location they have to check the price with a scanner then check the price on the shelf to confirm before finally giving the ok

My location has done the same thing for me several times. They are so nice about adjusting it. I have even double checked the price on the way out of the store to make sure I wasn't mistaken. The customer service at my store is wonderful. The cashiers know me by name and are so friendly. It makes a big difference.

I have only had an issue once, she gave me the discount, but said several times it must have been in the wrong section (there was a whole row of them so no) but other than that, amazing CS by cashiers

I love Target's customer service. They are always so friendly and helpful. They too have corrected a price without argument or asking someone to check.
