Had a great early morning shop at SDM today, cosmetics manager was a bit stern but in the end everything worked out. My subtotal was $67 but she argued that after coupons it had to be >$75, so in the end I relented and picked up a Lysol no-touch unit which will be free after the rebate anyway. Ended up with:
Base points: 1950 ($100 GC in separate transaction beforehand)
Product bonus points: 8000 (4 x 2000 WUB 2 Bic razors)
Coupon points awarded: 2000 (VIB)
Department bonus points: 1600 (personalized offer for body wash)
Transaction bonus points: 18500
Total points earned: 32050 (~$67.47 on a 95000/$200 bonus redemption day)
Total spent OOP (after rebate + coupons): $67.39 + $10.84 in taxes
:)
caltrate on clearance (some were short-dated) for $9 - $4 coupon. Bought enough other vitamins to be $30 after coupons, so should get 8000 pts in 5 days.
2x 72 count Huggies Little Snugglers, on clearance for $4.99!! - 2x $3 printable coupons + 1 VIB coupon for 3000 points + $2 Snap = $1.98 + 3000 Points :)
But I also had 8000 WUS $40 on baby diapers etc, so with those I also grabbed 3x Pull Ups, - $1 coupons each + 3000 VIB - $5 Snap, and then $1 for the third one, + 1000 in store BP each.
Grabbed a $1 jar of baby food just to ensure I was at $40 for that, then got 2x Aveeno Baby sunblock on for $9.99 - 2x $3 coupons + 1000 VIB
So... in the end for over 200 diapers and 2 sunblocks (regular $12.99 each), after points back and rebates I essentially paid $13 :)
Funny thing was I had only walked over to get some exercise and price a few things, then I had to dash home in a panic, fire off a pile of coupons, and race back lol. It was very frantic but well worth it! My SDM on hwy 8 doesn't usually have any good clearance, never mind $4.99 boxes of diapers!
OMG OMG OMG! I am so happy. Less than 5 days ago i redeemed my 22000pts=$30 on food and snacks, system marked my big personalized 8000pts on food and snacks as redeemed and today i got my 8000pts for that transaction. I am so happy!
That means our specific department big bonus coupons will keep on working in our redemptions. Even the 16000pts on cosmetics one too. Lol. I am so happy.
I did some shopping on sat and got 15x on Clinique 7700 points plus 8k store points plus 18500 and then mail offers for various products and a loaded milk offer for a grand total of 42340 points. I'm almost at the 400k mark again
I thought I loaded my coupons( loaded DHs card but used my card,OOPs mistake).
Then went today to my SDM ,found Vanilla protein powder on a clear out exp Nov 2016 orig $18.99 cleared price $6.Twenty + were remaining took 5 and asked manager I would be taking 2 milk and 2 eggs and I have 8000 bp wub food and snacks, she said might be because meal replacement is a food;),so I took and I paid bill,Ni department bo and transactions bp.I came home and checked ,I didn't loaded offer. Then I loaded and called CS.
Lady spoke so rudely,"you know to load offers,we are here to educate who don't know optimum but not to people who know how to load optimum offers but keep forgetting them,I saw you loaded couple of offers few minutes ago"
Then I said it us new, error has happened ,then she repeated same and asked me to hold few minutes and added 4000 goodwill instead 8000 bp.
But I don't know what coupon code 18995 is,I didn't load anything.
1. Managers don't know anything... unfortunately, we have to count on each other to know what applies and what doesn't. Obviously, this manager made a guess on what would go through
2. The CSR did not sound very nice. Did you get a name? If you got attitude, I would have asked to speak to someone else or call back again.
3. If there is an issue if a coupon has applied or not. Before you go, I would look at the coupon ID code and mark down the coupon IDs in a notebook. When you are at the cash, cross reference the code with the cashier screen and make sure that each coupon code goes through. (make sure not to care when a line builds up behind you.)
