Double-rant
So, DS has Hand, foot, and mouth disease. :frown: Apparently, one of the other classrooms at daycare just got over it. And I didn't realize he had it (he's been grumpy since Sunday, but otherwise, no fever. And I have been checking, cause DD was really sick Saturday-Monday..)
Because of that, I had to call and cancel DD's speech therapy for tomorrow. And she's not been in a month, because her appointment 2 weeks ago got cancelled because her therapist was sick (so now we have to reschedule 3 of them, since her therapist was sick for her very first one, as well).
This week has been just..blegh. First, DD sick (she had a high fever and was puking quite often) and now this... :(
I'm just hoping DD doesn't get this. But the doctor said he should be past the contagious stage, and it should be almost over (since today is the day the rash and bumps appeared, and that's usually the mid-point..)
Edit:
I'm also probably psyching myself out since I now know he has it, but omg, am I itchy...

Awww, sorry you're going through all of this. Usually when one person gets sick in the house, everyone gets sick. Hopefully the little one's will get better soon.:-)

the things that get tossed in our paths, I hope your DD does not get this from DS, hang in there. All the best Goddess.

It's so hard when one child is sick and the other one isn't.
Hope no one else catches it and your Ds is better soon!

I had that in 4th grade like 3 or 4 times. I'd get it, get over it, and someone else would have it and I'd get it again. I missed so many pizza days :( Hope your DD doesn't get it.

Ahhhhh.......day cares and schools! Petri dishes of bacteria. Oh and education:)

:(
Its highly contagious among children . But good thing is it usually goes away in a week or so on its own, no treatment is required.

Aw, sorry to hear. Hope your DS feels better soon. Hopefully nobody else will get it.
