I adore secretly watching bunnies play on my front lawn at night. However,DH friend gave him some calaloo ( green leafy veg , a cross between spinach & bok choy)suckers that he transplanted in our veggie garden; within hours they were gone. He got some more suckers yesterday but we think the same may happen & would like some tips as to how to keep these rabbits at bay. I think I overheard or read somewhere that an owl statue works ???Please share any tips and or advice that are tried & true.Thanks.

if you can, try to get some chicken wire or something to enclose the vegetables. But sometimes that doesn't work either. Ive seen instances where rabbits will chew right through the thin chicken wire.
You can try the owl, or even fake snakes...but you would have to move them around once in awhile.

My parents live more north and out in the country. They use chicken wire doubled around. I think it helps that they do alot of raised bed gardening.

As terry2144 said, use doubled chicken wire.

We didn't plant the suckers a 3rd time but I'm sure they stayed( @ Shawa Girl ).DH plans to use some sort of wire netting to protect plants this summer. After all, I need all the free iron I can get & I hate to take tablets.
