Very Nice and Easy to Understand information regarding your credit score, report and history

    http://www.fcac-acfc.gc.ca/Eng/resou...Report_eng.pdf

Once a year I order my FREE credit history report from Equifax and Transunion. The FREE one is more than enough for me, its pretty detailed.

The paid one has a credit score in it, but I don't really need it..the info on the FREE one from Equifax and Transunion is good enough for me

Free credit reports , don't pay for it.

Both Equifax and Transunion have automated phone systems.

They ask you a few questions, and then your FREE credit report is mailed to you.

    Here are the numbers:

    Equifax Canada Inc. 1 800 465 7166

    Trans Union of Canada 1 800 663 9980

Great info, thank you for sharing! I suggest to you all that you also closely monitor your bank accounts at least once per week. This way you can head off any potential account discrepancies and have that added piece of mind when it comes to your credit rating--view it as one more step in being proactive in addition to monitoring your credit score. Also, check out the phone apps that many banks are now offering--this is a great way to stay connected and informed!

There's a new Target breach? Or is this an ongoing issue from earlier this year? Saw mention of the Home Depot one.

Credit score plays a crucial role in determining whether an individual is eligible for a loan. Credit reporting agencies track how an individual manages his debts and prepare a credit report based on their analysis. You can get complete information on Financial Consumer Agency of Canada.

Hey, thanks so much for sharing your interesting article. Given the current circumstances it's so important to be aware of this and do anything possible to keep a good score. Upkeep is hard, but well worth it!
