All the best to everyone who are facing difficult decisions and circumstances in their lives right now.
I seriously just want to scream. after a great length of time and hope, i was basically just told sorry, your SOL.
im literally back to square 1 after reaching a 1000.
y does this happen to me.
Because you are strong! That's why it happens. Dust yourself off and get back at it. It will happen.
(((HUGS))) MrsS
Mrs. S. is this with respect to the job you were hoping for? I am so sorry to hear that you have been disappointed! Take some time to say, "Aw, sh#$@! " Then, just think about what else you might wish to do. When it looked like we would never find a home that we liked, I wrote down in a book I was reading a list of the things I would like. I came across that list the other day and it's amazing how many of the "wish-fors" that we actually found even though I hadn't thought about that list for months.
Hugs to you, my friend. It is, after all, their loss!
MrsS - so sorry you didn't get the job you wanted, but there's always a window opened when a door is closed...
Busy morning, today - finally I'm able to do a few things around the house. Mind you, my arms will need a good massage later... (yay for a wonderful husband!).
Hope everyone finds something to smile about today!

Work day is almost finished! Plan on hanging clothes out to dry that I didn't do last night and then hopefully take my boys our for a bite to eat and a walk in the park. Then the youngest is sleeping at Grandmas (I have an early morning- a fun work function) so we are going to the movies for a free movie (traded for codes from cereal :) )
I called and talked to my younger sister yesterday after the kids were picked up from my care. Mom, her fiance, and the three younger siblings all moved in the last month so I let everyone alone because I knew they would be busy. My younger sister is starting 3rd year Engineering at the UofS next month. My younger brother is starting 1st year Arts and Science at the UofS. My cousin from the other side of the family is also starting first year arts. I spent time messaging with him on Facebook this morning to help him figure out some stuff about his approved student loan funding, and university life. Anyway, it turns out that my younger sister separated her shoulder at work on July 8th and has been in physio. She was just told that she could finally stop wearing her sling all the time. She is still waiting on paperwork from the hospital for her WCB claim, so she hasn't had an income in quite a while. She still lives at home, but pays rent.
Dh came home from work yesterday with 1/2 a large freezer bag of garden peas, I think it was from someone at work. The kids aren't so sure about them, probably because the ones straight out of the garden always taste that much better. I carefully pulled a few potatoes from the garden for supper last night. Dh stayed home with LO while I did the grocery shopping. Dh cooked butcher's sausage and made mashed potatoes. We had salad with it with fresh yellow pear tomatoes from the garden. This is my first time growing yellow tomatoes and I really like these ones.
Shopping:
NF: Driscol raspberries -75c coupon (have to figure out how to do their survey that is supposed to be on the packaging and then I get another printable coupon), pm'd WM 97c celery, 2x Royale - $2 and $3 coupon.
Sobeys:
I bought lots of stuff but was disappointed because I had to get rain checks. No BOGO mushrooms, no $2.99/lb lean ground beef, no $3.99 4L chocolate milk (forgot rain check). The rest of my purchase didn't add up to $100, so I couldn't use the bonus 1,000pt coupon from the flier. I did use some coupons and got the 10% off bonus - $5 Ziploc ($5 on packaging), 2x FPC Dawn dish soap, $1 off granola bar. I should still get 5x points from electronic offer. My card now has $115 on it. I was planning on using points today, but I didn't have those other items, so just used my gift card instead. I also got a 4c off Shell gas coupon which is good until Sept. 7th.
Today is rainy, which was not in the forecast. We watered the garden last night, so now it's really wet. Oh well, nothing to be done for it. Anyway, I plan on baking fruit muffins this afternoon while the two boys take their naps. It has been a few weeks since it cooled off like this, so I want to take advantage. We have central air, but I still try to make it easy for the air-conditioning to keep up. I am running low or have run out of various muffins in the freezer. They are a hit with all of the kids. I will certainly make banana chocolate chip muffins. Might also make apple muffins, and rhubarb strudel muffins. I haven't had much for carrots in the house, waiting for them to go on sale to make more carrot muffins, I put soaked raisins in them. Most of the kids don't pick them out.
It's kind of cute. Each boy took an end of the couch and each curled up with a big fuzzy blanket that I brought out for them. They were just watching some cartoons after eating lunch. My LO announced "night night," but he sometimes does this as a game. He fell to sleep and I just moved him to his crib. :) The other little boy was still watching cartoons. I opened the mail and then turned off the tv. The other boy is now asleep. I am debating letting him nap on the couch because he hasn't transferred well for me in the past. He is also a pretty heavy child, considering that he turns three in October.
Now I just have to do a few things and start baking the muffins.
im not sure how you all read between the lines on my post. but yes. after 6 months of being 'almost there'. so frustrating. i'll be back pounding the pavement Monday morning.
for now though i need to get my living room repainted and ready for some 'new to me' furniture a friend is donation. hoping to save up enough money in the next while to have the cushions redone.
for now i'll enjoy it as it is.
