I'm glad your first week went well but it's always nice (and refreshing) to be back in your own bed. Enjoy it! And stay warm!

This is what a little shopper at Winners brought me. Claire was only 3 when I saw her last time. She is in Sr. Kindergarten now, and I have not seen her in a while. But she remembered me because I gave her stickers. It is a beautiful picture.:)
Hoping and praying all is continuing well with you and your treatment.
Hi.....it's been a while since you popped in...I hope you're relaxing and feeling better each day...{{{hugs}}}
I hope you frame that photo Horndogg. It's beautiful. :) I hope you are doing well and coping with this weather ok and that you had a good valentine's day.

Hi everyone week #3 of radiation 11 more appointments go. Everything is going well, I'm tired a lot but all is going well. I'm still waiting for my hair to come back. I tell everyone I look like Joe Pesci from Home Alone, when he gets his hair burnt with the blow torch. My hair is coming on the sides but not much on top!
Glad things are going okay for you, I know it's a long road...

Ah! So good to hear from you, Hon! Hair grows back, hats are in style, the thing is, that you're getting better with each treatment and that's so fantastic! Thank you for checking in with us ...! :sweet:
Thanks for the update, take it one day at a time. Continued prayers offered :flowers:
Thank you everyone for all your kind thoughts and prayers! The weekends go by so fast too for me! I'm in a little bit af pain this morning, I don't know if it is arthritis or not? Hands and right arm very sore but nothing I can't handle. Love you all God bless you all too!
Horndogg just think! If the weekends go by "too fast" that means the weeks get here faster to get done quicker! And you have 11 more weeks of radiation, yes? Now my calculations may be a little rough, did you read that right? MAY be....but I think that takes you into the glorious (and hopefully warmer and sunnier month) of MAY! YAY! The one thing that kept my sanity was just looking towards the end. My treatment ended in Fall (another beautiful time of year) I looked forward to walks in the crunchy leaves AT HOME. :) You're lucky that you'll get the glorious sun and heat though. Which if you're having problems with arthritis at the moment, the warmth should help a bit with that.
As for the hair, it's a look :) As Lynn said it's just hair and it DOES grow back. And to give you hope that it will ALL grow back, as you know I had brain radiation that ended 5 months ago and all the hair I lost at the back and on the left is BACK! AND I have PEACH FUZZ on the right side now where they focused the radiation. WOOT! It took 5 months, but it's growing, baby! So yours will come back in no time. Plus, its too freaking cold outside to go out sans hat or scarf covering your head, so you are getting this all done at the right time. Ya know, if there is ever a right time to have to deal with this crap. lol You take it easy, and Grumpy Cat says "HI!". I think she's sick of winter too.

Sorry Tara I meant only 11 more treatments to go! My radiation is only 5 weeks long! So I'm half done!
Don't be sorry that makes me happier to hear! Less radiation the better. But I still long for May. lol But if we have snow and cold for much longer I'm chasing down Old Man Winter with his own damn cane!

Cancer moves in quietly & always without permission,
It is the goal of its victims to send it into permanent remission,
It is cursed, it is merciless, it invades so invasive,
It is harsh; it is cruel, so savage & abrasive,
It has no shame, no mercy & it cheats victims of all ages,
So we must pick up the gauntlet as it quietly rages,
It can make one so angry, so feeble & entirely ballistic,
But it can’t steal your hope & your trust to remain optimistic,
We all know the story & the many chapters in the cancer story,
& it has nothing redeeming & it certainly has no glory,
But, it can be fought & discussed, as it needs to be vented,
& the sorrow we frustration we feel is justifiably lamented,
Incredible people who are merely living their lives,
Are so caught off guard, as uninvited it arrives,
Goodhearted people, our family, our neighbors & beloved friends,
All wishfully longing for cancer to please make amends,
One cannot endure this albatross from way back in the bleachers,
So many variances & types with many different features,
Keeping the hope, the faith & sharing your dossier with others,
Helps keep you sane & hold onto your druthers,
Don’t think about blame, or fuss about fault,
I’d like to triple lock that monster securely in a non opening vault!

I can only say that I send my best to you with your Chemotherapy Chronicles. I am sure you are being well taken care of & I if I may add....your attitude & outlook is really inspiring.
To all of you who are dealing with this albatross - keep the faith & know that others are routing for you.
xx
I really like this T Shirt. It encompasses so much.
