my fave robin williams film was 'fisher king'. i think the only film of his that i didn't like was - one hour photo.

just looking at the list of his movies you realize what a versatile talent he was.

OMG, that made me so, so sad that news. I love him and he was a wonderful actor. With any addiction there is depression. Wen you can think clair, you hate yourself so much and the thing that you did and dont remember them, again you hate yourself.
I beat addiction 25 years ago and I am so greatful for that. At the end I was depress and all because of the addiction...........................

i slept through monday so first thing i heard on tuesday was a radio show
about depression on the cbc - heard robin's name and no info
actually said out loud 'oh nooo'
then of course heard more and knew sighing,,,,
i am not one who cries when i hear about someone i don't know
dying but every time i think about him i do swell up.
he was a genius - granted likely a manic genius

(notice the 'slept through monday' this is one of the things
depressed people do)
depression is a chemical imbalance add coke and alcohol, shoot.

money, family, terrific talent and career does not make it go away.
he did 'kick it' but an addiction never can be just kicked,
it lies in wait,, and depression is behind the door near by.

always loved seeing him on the talk shows and of course
all the great tv/movie magic he gave us.
so very sad to see robin thought this was the way,,,
