Alright. As suggested you now have the ability to hide threads here a basic overview.

1. Navigate to a thread
2. Go to thread tools
3. Click "hide this thread"

It now hides full sub forums instead of threads.

@Stuart H it is says i have blocked the top subforum and when i click to unhide this or my hidden threads it just reverts back to click here to unhide and it its still hiddena nd still in my hidden list on my profile

ATM hidden forums is functional but hidden threads on the other hand isn't. It will be removed shortly meaning all threads you've hidden with be unhidden soon.

I would think due to the spammers but I know we do have members from outside of Canada so I would not want them to be affected

I wasn't sure where to post this but every time I click "Top" for forums, it says "you hided(their word, not mine) this forum, click here to unhide it". (not sure how I hid it ). When I click , nothing happens. :shrug: That was my favourite place to check for posts. Help me if you can. Thank you.

So is the function to hide sub forums up and running or is it still in progress?

Just curious because I went to "The Game Room" sub-forum and "hid it" but posts from "The Game Room" are still showing up in the "new posts" section. The sub-forum ("The Game Room") is NOT showing up when I click on the green forum tabs though...Used to be below the "General Discussion" sub-forum. So, now I'm not sure how to "un-hide" it if I ever choose to.

Yup, primarly spammesr especially thread-necromancing spammers.

I don't understand why some one who reports to be in UK/Russia/China/India would honestly want to be a member of a Canadian board with a moderately limited external appeal to non-couponers.

True there is intereast from Canadians living abroad , people in US who may wish to shop here and also from people looking to emigrate to Canada. But mot of the foreign ased posters tend to be spammers.
