BPL is accepting community applications for Library Board membership.

Hamilton Public Library will not have any Sunday service hours for the next three Sundays (Dec 18 & 25, Jan. 1).

HPL Barton Branch will be closed from March 1-3 for a makeover.

HPL will be closed on Monday February 20 at all locations-no study hall or access after hours.

BPL locations will also be closed on Monday February 20 for Family Day.

HPL's IT dept fixed the iMac computer so I no longer get 2 x 2h shifts per day. Now when I log in for the second time, the timer shows my last hour, not 2h., as time remaining (computer users have up to 3h of computer access per day-the Windows computers time out hourly; Mac times out in 2h increments unless one gets staff involved to extend time). See, informing staff of branch issues seems to get the ears of staff at the Central branch! It was fun while it lasted (about a week!).

BPL has two job postings-one is for a customer and programming associate!

French Book Swap will happen at the Central Library on the morning of March 9.

Ukrainian Egg Decorating will be held at Central on Sat March 25 between 2-3pm. 8 seats remain available.

Hamilton Public Library has its March Break listings up and the March/April What's Happening booklet posted online.

Also, you can collect one pair of solar eclipse glasses at your local library branch-you must show staff your library card to get one pair (*limit one per person). The library system does special April 8 solar eclipse programs for children that morning to 1pm. It'll be a professional activity day across Hamilton school boards.

There's one early March yarn swap and a few puzzle swaps (@coupon girl) set to occur!

Check HPL's Facebook and Twitter pages for program/service updates. There remains no wi-fi or Internet or printer access.
Hamilton_External wifi channel auto-booted me off wifi (I had Bro's old BBY phone) and re-attempted to login again. I stopped the cycle after 2 tries.

Manual checkouts at staff desk remain. There's no way to access online materials (i.e.audiobooks) or look for items at other locations. Staff can only assist in locating items in branch.

You might score new movies if you keep checking Express Dvds areas. That's how I found the Barbie DVD on Monday morning!
