Their social media site had images from the Square One opening on Aug 21(media preview day) and Aug. 22.
Mapleview Centre (Burlington) is next in line to have a Chico's retail store opening.

If you have signed up to the website's newsletter, you may get the 20% off coupon good for a regular priced item purchase (expires Sept. 16). No idea if anything special is being given away that day.

White House Black Market has a 30% off regular prices for Labour Day weekend. Saw a lovely white sleeveless (I want sleeves) waterfall ruffle top with pintucks on either side of placet. Silk-$85? reg price. Also saw a 3/4 sleeve raspberry red covered placket shirt calling my name. Did not buy nor try anything. But wow, some of the tops are a treat to see!
Since it was after 11am-not aware of any swag/freebies. Love the chandelier light fixture over the front part of the store.

Chico's-size chart card was handed out (small enough to tuck into a purse or pant pocket because you know how woman's sizing can be-all over). According to staffer, the Chico's program is not yet in effect in Canada. But I retain the e-mail in case I have a need to try the 20% off offer before mid-Sept. Lovely hammered gold look pendants/jewellery on some of the mannequin looks or store displays. Clothing that has some sheen or bling appeal for going out for lunch or day and you want people to know you have money to show it. There's a male staffer too! Don't recall what specific promo was going on if at all.

BTW, popped into Sears-some winter (aka Sears brand) parkas for women are in stock but not in menswear. Did not see the Noize brand on the rack to try on for size. Clothing selection-well, about two or three looks. Rest-busy prints or short styles. Store really needs the together line of merch to be in-store, not catalogue only.

The Bay has more variety even on summer clearance racks-both stores have mostly sheer or soft fashions.

If you go to Laura and are a 4, 8 or 10, you might find one or two polished poly blend short sleeve jackets on sales racks in those sizes (soft green, oyster and off-white). There's a golden yellow one in size 16.
